I think this is my first post here, I have spent so many late nights on here reading every bodies ups and downs.
Now my dilemma:
I thought I had lost the upgrade disease, but :roll: I have been offered a great deal on a pair of DS7 (demos) my current setup is
CDM 9NT > rotel RB1080
CDM CNT > rotel RMB1075
CDM 1NT > rotel RMB1075
SUB Yamaha (due for upgrade)
Processor RSP1066
CD RCD1072
DVD Oppo
Sony SACD (cheapo)
Currently my listening habit is
HC 70%
CD 25%
SACD/DVD-Aud 5%
My room dimensions are 4m wide by 11m long
my listening position is 5m away from facing shortwall CDM9NT etc I have the CDM1NT 1.5m behind my seating pointing into me.
So when I was offered these DS7 I was thinking as using them as middle surrounds in the bipole mode for general surround ambiance. Sounds ok so far talked the better half around to agreeing to getting the DS7 and then I was offered a set of CDM9NT (also Demos) which really threw the spanner in the works, I start to think about far improved multi channel audio and better cinema experience. By moving the CDM1NT to the far back of the room and having the CDM9NT as close surrounds to where I am sitting.
Sorry for the long post and they way it is layed out, just very stressed and money is itching in my upgrade pocket
the DS7 are for 715EUR and the CDM9NT are 600EUR ???
