    Htm1 Or 2

Is there really that much difference in sound for $ 4,000.00 or is it just the look? I am just getting into high end gear ( and I must say its an addiction) and want to make the right choice instead of second quessing.

I appreciate all the wisdom and feedback from this community,

B & W recommends going with the HTM1 over the 2 for either 800D or 802D, but says the HTM2 will work if space is limited. I say if you are spending that much already on your mains and surrounds, what's another $4000 :E , go for the HTM1. Easy for me to say though, it is your money and not mine! :W

The best way for you to decide is to listen to both and trust your ears, if the HTM1 sounds $4000 better to you than the HTM2 then go for it.

If I could afford the HTM1D there would be no doubt it would be in my system

I imagine that the htm1d will sound fuller and more balanced with the 800d than the htm2d would.
I'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...

                HTM1 vs. HTM2?
                by Atorak
Hey everyone. Im looking to grab a center channel for movies, and I already have a very nice setup, so im looking to match my fronts. I have the N804s, and the Rotel 1068+1075. Has anyone ever used the HTM2, or the HTM1, or did a comparison between them?

I had an HTM1 for a week, and...

I want to replace my HTM2 with a HTM1 but I am broke. I have 803's in the front. 805's in the rear. I am considering selling the HTM2 and 805's and putting the money toward a HTM1 and something to replace the rears. I hate to get rid of the 805's but I feel that the HTM1 would bring my system to...

I have been trying to decide between the htm1 and the htm2...

The main issue is that I would need to spend a ton on a new tv stand (45" widescreen lcd) or buy a new TV and mount it on the wall in order to get the htm1 to fit comfortable on a stand with any other gear.

                HTM2 vs HTM1?
                by Race Car Driver
                Soooooo....
Ive been looking over audiogon the last few weeks.
And seems like the going rate for a HTM2 is in the 650-800 range and the HTM1 goes for about double that.

Is it worth the extra moola for an HTM1? Kinda what im leaning towards when I finally decide to bite the...
