    McIntosh or Classe for 802D?

I need your advise on wich of these (only) two brands would you prefer to drive a pair of 802D.
The comparition is between the Classe CA-2200 and the McIntosh MC-252!
    Thanks in advance!

Listen Aldo - stop buggering about and buy the 5 x nautilus speakers and then you can go out and buy 20 amplifiers to power them! ! ! !

    P.S - make them Macontosh!

      classe.

The problem you are going to have is that everyones opinion is going to be different. Im not a fan of the McIntosh sound, and I think they are extremely bulky and ugly. Others like their aesthetics.
I'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...

The Classe in 20 years will not quite look the same. The McIntosh will look like a... well, McIntosh. In terms of sound, you cannot go wrong between them; it's a question of color. But I would recommend you consider the MC501 if you are going to go McIntosh.

          Good luck.

That sound great, but a lot more expensive!

I think the Classe is a superb match although I have not tried the McIntosh.

No, we don't need to argue, I just want to know the general preference of the B&W users!

I prefer the Classe over McIntosh myself, but, since you already have all McIntosh powering your other speakers I would stick with the Macs to keep everything matching.

True. Or sell all the Mcintosh amps and buy all new Classe

Well if you need to "settle for less" then McIntosh is the lesser of 2 Evils.

                                      But go for the 1201's ;x( ;x( ;x( ;x(

you know, at this point it seems rather silly to me. everyone has their own opinion. some people express theirs stronger than others. whatever you do Aldo, please give us reports and reviews and opinions and lots of pictures so we can can continue to drool over your system.

It is great you are at a place where you can make this kind of an investment in the system, just be sure to continue to share with us please.
