    B&W center speakers

Hello, I want to upgrade from my lcr 60, problem is I can´t get much because of me spending money on many other things, but my choice is like this, Lcr 600, a pair of 602s3 which I already have lying around, I could upgrade to 6.1 with one of each front and back?? Or, CMC, and last but not least the HTM7!! I will soon have 805 as front, 602 as rear and asw 750 sub!!

I like the idea of the 602s as a centre

Why not? There is nothing magic about center-channel speakers and most are seriously compromised compared with using a third matched main speaker.

602 as center seems good to me, though hopefully, you can keep the vertical...

I would assume that. Otherwise, there's little point.

602 as a center wouldnt match 805's very well. I think the htm4 is a great center channel. It would be something to do while saving, but I wouldnt keep it as a long term solution.

Wouldn't the HTM4 be a perfect match for the 805S fronts? I thought the HTM4 was basically a sideways 805S.

            Regards,
            Darrell

Yes, that is correct. I think that is what sikoniko is implying.

I re-read what I wrote. I guess it doesn't really make sense. The 602 would work as a short term, but if you are going with 805s for the front, you will want to save up for the htm4. There will be a lot of detail and clarity you will be missing out. Especially if HT is a priority for you.

One of the few acoustically-correct center channels.

                      Lcr 600?
                      by ric888
                      Hi guys,

Sorry if i had to put up another thread concerning the LCR 600...
As for my last tread, most of you agrees with the LCR 600 as a center even if your fronts would be the 602... i for myself agrees with that, as mentioned, better dynamics etc.

                      Q: what about...

Would I have a huge problem using three of...

                      by deewan
Greetings all. I've been out of the DIY speaker kit scene for a bit. My last build was a Statement II custom cabinet build 8 years ago. I recently sold my home and the new owners wanted to purchase all my theater gear and DIY speakers. I find myself with nothing more than a Sonos ARC and Sonos sub to...
