Why didn't B&W use dual midrange in 800 series?

Do you guys think that there would have been a benifit if B&W had used dual 150mm (6”) Kevlar cone FST midrange drivers in the 803s and up?

Maybe in the centre channels aswell?

Why should they? The only positive reason to use more than one is to increase power handling. The downsides include bulk, weight and driver interaction that screws up polar radiation patterns.

So, unless there is a power handling problem, there's no good reason.

I would have to agree. Adding another driver in the setup is much easier said than done, it changes a lot of the parameters.
