150mm (6”) Kevlar cone FST midrange: Do they all run on the same frequency?

    Hi,

I have noticed the 804s/803s/803d/802d/801d/800d all use the 150mm (6”) Kevlar cone FST midrange driver. Are the crossover for this all set to be the same? Do they all run in the same range?

What about the 805s the 6.5" Kevlar, what frequency does it run at?

Is the 805s set to run a wider freq becuase it does not have a rohadell driver? Does it do some of the bass management that the rohadell does in the 804s and above?

Check the specs at the B&W website. IIRC, there were some differences between the 800/801/802 and all the rest.

It's not every day that B&W launches a new range, so when the company changed its ever-popular 600 series, we all took notice. The 683 sits in the middle of the range and features the company's 150mm FST midrange...

FST kevlar color difference between series?
      by nikos
i was checking out some 800D and 802D speakers over the weekend. different setups... and what was strikingly strange to me was that the FST kevlar color was very different than what I'm used to from my 803D and HTM2D.

The difference was that the 803D and HTM2D have a brighter yellow ...

      Question about a Kevlar cone
      by SQdude
A certain manufacture is famous for using yellow Kevlar cones with a totally flat surround housed in a sphere. I'm curious is the general break-up characteristic of Kevlar (what freq does this material fall apart at)? Also, with a flat surround, how much xmax do you really think they are getting out...
