Grills on N801's

I know that most don't use grills on their 800, 801, 802's. I put mine on because I honestly don't trust our cleaning people around my equipment. My speakers are black on black N801's, which was the color that I least wanted. Now, I have to admit, after putting the black grills on, they look really cool. Kind of like something out of Star Wars (the original ones!!). The body doesn't look "fat"

I have my grilles on also, i go through phases.
The grills just make em look mid-evil at times, pretty badass if you ask me

Once in a while i get the urge to take em off, but the grills seem to always end up back on.

I don't know if you saw it but I posted this elsewhere. Check out a Musical Fidelity pre. I bought the A308CR. Its as solid as the Brystons and I swear it sounds as sweet as my preamp without all of the PITA of tubes. Plus it delivers some force to the Brystons and wakes them up in the bass department. Great purchase. It also has a TT input so I am looking at VPI turntables. When the time comes, you cen pick them up on Audiogon in the low teens.
