    Rotel RMB-1075

I currently have B&W 602 s3's for my fronts, 601 s3's for the rears, LCR60 s3 for the center, and a ASW600 sub powered by a Rotel RSX-1057 and was wondering if adding the Rotel RMB-1075 120 watt per channel amp will produce a noticeable difference? Is there anyone that owns both that can give some comparisons?

Are you intertested in improving your 2 ch sound? I don't understand your desire to go with a RMB-1075 when your reciever is HT already. Most people will add a 2 ch amp to the RSX-1057 to use as bypass 2 ch for music.

The difference is huge and readily discernible from the moment you power it up! To experience the full impact of the improvement you should use a dedicated pre/pro rather than the reciever as preamp, but even with the receiver as pre, the difference is night and day. :T

I'm using my system for mostly Home Theater. I was wondering if there would be a noticeable difference between the amps the 1057 uses which are rated at 75 watts per channel and the 120 watts per channel the rmb-1075 uses. I didn't even think of just adding a 2 channel amp to improve just music I may look into that.

I have a RMB-1075 that was a decent amp upgrade for my H/K 7300. The H/K is 110 wpc, my 703's didn't sound that good with the receiver amp. The 1075 sounded better by a noticeable amount. But, I have never listened to the 600 series with the 1075 amp. The 703 is much more power hungry then the 600 series.

You may notice a slight difference in detail. If your room is large, you will benefit from the extra power and dynamics. If your in a smaller room, spend your money on something else.

My Room is about 15 x 15 - Do you think I would benefit from a 2 channel amp like the 130 Watt Rotel RB-1070 for music?

                  for the same price, go for the RB1080 ... 200wpc x 2
the 1057 is already a decent receiver, if you unload the front 2 speakers from the receiver, you will free up some headroom for the other speakers.
plus: you get a heavy duty amp that is future/upgrade proof (for a good while)

                    RMB-1075[U]

Marano, I own the discontinued B&W CM series speakers (CM4, CMC and CM2) and have them connected to a RSX-1055. Planning for the future I added a 1075 to later upgrade to separates. Meanwhile, I have my 3 front speakers connected to the 1075's 5 channels, I think that is known as passively bi-amping, then the 1055 powers the 2 rear speakers, giving them 100 watts per ch while in stereo. Have never looked back!! Hope this helps

                      RMB1077 and RSX1057 system
                      by bullitt731
I was planning on using an RSX1057 as a processor with an RMB1077 hooked up to a pair of B&W 804s and a HTM3s. Orignally I thought I would biamp and biwire the L and R fronts using 4 channels of the RMB1077 while using the remaining 3 channels to drive the center and back surrounds.

Question about adding a second amp to my RMB1075
                      by nash
I've currently got an RMB1075 and an RSP1066 with Definitive Technology speakers. I've ordered some new towers for the main L/R (Def Tech 7001SC's) which should be a considerable upgrade from my current towers (Def Tech ProTower 400's). I am going to move my ProTower 400's to the rear.

                      by metallo
                      As the topic says...

Is it possible to bi-amp RMB1075 with zone 2?

I have RSP1068/RMB1075 kombo and i have connected Front Left/Right as usual... but what happens if i connect zone 2 Left/Right output to RMB1075 Left/Right surround and bi-amp the speakers?
