CDM 9NT & CDM 1NT; Whats the current equivalent?

    Hi,

Is it worth buying a CDM 9NT & CDM 1NT combo? Are they a good model to go for?

What are they compared to now in the B&W range?

    Cheers

Today's equivalent to the CDM 9NT is the 703, and the equivalent to the CDM 1NT is the 705. I own the CDM 9NT and have auditioned the 703. They sound very similar to me. I consider the CDM 9NT and the 703 to be on the bright side, which isn't everybody's cup of tea. I'd only buy the 703 if the price was pretty similar to the CDM 9NT. The real step up from the CDM 9NT is the 8 series. I haven't auditioned the CDM 1NT or the 705 so I can't comment on them. However the CDM 9NT and the CDM 1NT should be a good combination due to their sonic similarity.

My previous HT setup consisted of CDM 9NT, CDM CNT, and CDM 1NT surrounds. This is a very nice setup, and can be had for a very good price when you can find them.

I have decided to upgrade my HT to 800 series, so I've replaced the fronts with 805S and the center with HTM4S (still using 1NTs in the rear, for now). I still love the CDM 9NTs, and have moved them to another room to use strictly for stereo.

        Question: B&W 703 or CDM 9NT ?
        by BWzes03
        Hi there..

I have a question for all you B&W lovers out there.
I'm going to buy a pair of front speakers for my dedicated stereo system (Rotel RC-1090/RB-1080/RCD-1072/RT-1080) and I'm trying to decide between the new 703's and a pair of used CDM 9NT's.

        I know...

        Integrated Amp for CDM 9NT
        by BIF
        Hey all,

Just purchased a pair of B&W CDM 9NT's and have an old Onkyo TX-8211 that i'm guessing isn't sufficient for the 9NT's. Looking for a good integrated amp to purchase. Doesn't have to be too loud, just enough drive for the 9NT's. I also spent a large portion of my budget...

        CDM 9NT Now?
        by b&w fan
        Yes!

Shopping in El Cairo for high end audio is not easy, they have it all but you have to search a lot to find what you are looking for ...

As I mention in a previous thread I am decided for the B&W DM604 S3, I have located them and have them ready to be picked up...

CDM 1nt - with one sub, two subs, or upgrade speakers?
        by Dutch BW
I now listen to the CDM 1nt on their own, sounds really good but am missing bottem end frequencies. These speakers go down to 60hz, as a reference a 805s reaches 49hz.

        Would it be wise to:

a - Ad one good sub (for instance a asw700)
b - Ad two subs but a bit less...

        CDM 9NT v. CDM 7NT
        by gostan
I currently have 7nt's for fronts and 1 nt's for rears. I have an opportunity to purchase either a pair of used 7nt's or 9nt's. I could then use the 1nt's in my second zone. My existing stereo-ht room is too small for 7.1, but I would then be ready for 7.1 in the future. The 7's have a nice laid back...
