Their prices are killing on their web site, here in this part of the world... those prices are almost double., for example I get here 805S in the price of 804S there., inspite of no sales tax... I wonder why is this...- Bottom

Those speakers are built for in-wall custom installations (ie, true movie theater style). So if you are building a custom theater and want your speakers built into the walls to be invisible and still have the same sound as the 800 series. There ya go.
They aren't made to sit out and be admired.

Hello There,
How much more they go up after their shown prices of the web, for example they have listed the price for 804's as $2000.... will there be huge difference...?? sorry for the duumb question... I do not know of the tax system of US... as I'm outside US...
Thx Pramod....- Bottom

That price of $2000 is for a single speaker, a pair would be $4000. Dealers are not allowed to sell B&W (and many other high end brands for that matter) through the internet so if you are located outside the US you will have to get them whatever country you are in. I guess you could come to the US, buy them and then ship them back to your home country but that could get more expensive than buying locally.Originally posted by pramodHello There,

As for sales tax in the US it varies by state. I live in CT where its 6%. If I had to guess I bet the average is around 7% or 8%- Bottom

thx to all for the info. on the US tax system...

I like the spec on the subOriginally posted by RH Customs
18Hz – 35Hz ±3dB on reference axis (using active crossover/equaliser)
real sub bass only and the active crossover would help it do the right thing
NiceCheers

What intrigues me is that B&W mentions these speakers go well with the 800 Series diamonds, and are probably suitable...-
