Their prices are killing on their web site, here in this part of the world... those prices are almost double., for example I get here 805S in the price of 804S there., inspite of no sales tax... I wonder why is this...- Bottom

Those speakers are built for in-wall custom installations (ie, true movie theater style). So if you are building a custom theater and want your speakers built into the walls to be invisible and still have the same sound as the 800 series. There ya go.
They aren't made to sit out and be admired.Digital Audio makes me Happy.

As for sales tax in the US it varies by state. I live in CT where its 6%. If I had to guess I bet the average is around 7% or 8%- Bottom

Originally posted by PezThat price of $2000 is for a single speaker, a pair would be $4000. Dealers are not allowed to sell B&W (and many other high end brands for that matter) through the internet so if you are located outside the US you will have to get them whatever country you are in. I guess you could come to the US, buy them and then ship them back to your home country but that could get more expensive than buying locally.

How dumb I was, ops: , I thought that price was for the two speakers...,
So if I able to get about 20% discount on 805S's then that should be a goood deal....???? what are the list price for a pair of 805S's, if any one knows...??
thx to all for the info. on the US tax system...
I appreciate it
