I recently purchased an spl meter and the rives test cd. Rives say to conduct my measurements at 80db. This seems very loud to me. Is there a chance I could damage my speakers at this level?

I can get a set of these speakers, used from the agents at a fairly good price. However im a little concerned as they both have a disclosed history of damage. Both the 802D's tweeter were replaced, apparently blown, due to abuse by the owners children. The same happened to the HTM1D but it burnt out... -
