Being an Arnie fan, I finally got a chance to catch this flick on the weekend.
A bit of back story, this film deals with a terrorist act, and was originally scheduled to be relased in early October. Well we all know what happened in September and so WB chose to push this back a few months. I had thought they would had put it on hold indefinitely, but the just pushed it back a few months. They did change the trailers.
The story Arnie's a fireman and is on his way to meet his wife and son. Well the unthinkable happens as a bomb goes off infront of the Columbian embasy and his wife and son are killed. Hence, they are Collateral Damage. We start to see a bit of government tug of war on jurisdiction, FBI vs CIA. And we learn that the CIA has been none too successful in shutting down the Columbian resistance.
Arnie, then does some research and decides to go after the terrorist, El Lobo in Columbia. There was more than the usual suspension of reality in this movie.
As a movie itself, I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe worth a rental when it comes out. As an Arnie movie, I rank it as one of his lower films, if not the worst.
On a side issue, I went to one of the local SilverCity's to watch this movie. For those that aren't aware, the SilverCity's are large theaters with stadium seating. During the usual comming soon's, I really noticed that the volume was pumped up, I actualy had my SPL meter with me, and it was around the 80db with some 90+peaks. So I was eagerly awaiting the main attraction and the nice effects. Well to my dismay, the main feature was toned down quite a bit. I could see my SPL readings, but I'd say dialoge was in the 70dB range, and the explosions were under 85 dB.

There are three kinds of people in this world; those that can count, and those that can't.
