Hi all. I am new here - the information is terrific.
I have an opportunity to purchase a Lexicon RV-8 for a price comparable to a Rotel 1098/1095 combination (my initial choice). I have an initial bias against recievers (particularly at this price point), but I have read great things about the Lexicon, and it is being offered at a substantial deal.
While I am a bit concerned about the upgrade path from the RV-8, I am looking to maximize sound quality. Will the Lexicon outperform the Rotel combo? The system is for two-channel and non-dedicated home theater (DVDs, TV). The rest of the system is B&W 805S, HTM3S, and B&W surrounds (TBD), Velodyne DD-15.
Thanks for any guidance. Paul
