This used to happen to me when I had a hardwood floor and 802s, I always wanted to try those magic disc things that you place under stuff and it makes heavy items slide easy. I never found a solution to it happening to me though. It seemed as though the floor was too soft.

For a fraction of what the 802 cost you, get the floors redone with harder wood or carpet or tiles... it should keep your wife happy, and you can then keep your 802!

There are plastic sheets that are thick that some use in offices on carpet where people roll their chairs so it doesn't hurt the carpeting. Its thick and transparent and you can use that or even something like that temporarily until you switch to spikes where you have discs which don't hurt the floor.

Quick solution stick magazines or something to protect the floor immediately until more permanent solution is figured out. They will "dent" your wood floors just as they are.

lol I just got the same problem last weekend.
I moved in with my girfriend (until my new house is built) and my 802s could only fit in the bedroom. I unpacked the speakers and started rolling them around...leaving a nice trail in the wooden floor. :E

BTW she calls my 802s the star-wars speakers

Its really a good idea. After they are in the cups you can slide them to where they could go. If the gups a tacky then put some felt so they can slide.

Of course this is contrary to the belief that they should be on spikes and rigidly fixed, but we must consider the floor.

                      Hello club members

I am a newbee to the B&W fan club. I just got a pair of used Nautilus 802 for an unbelievable price. The reasons I got them were (1) They sounded awesome and (2) The price was too low to resist. There is no way I could have afforded the $4 - $5K that they actually...

                      Hi,

Anybody had an experience on how the rollers of the 802D can damage (or not) a wooden floor?

I'm about to move them in a new place and would like to know before making any scratches or anything else that would definitively lower my waf... ...

I'm having the luxury to design a room for my B&W 802 speakers.
We're in the planning stages for building our house, and I'm going to "reserve"
a room of 5x6 meters for HT/music puroses

The room will be on the ground floor and we will use floor heating....

I have B&W Nautilus 802's and an ASW4000 Sub and am looking for floor spike solutions for them both. B&W no longer supplies feet or spikes for these and could not even tell me how tell the feet are supposed to be for the sub.

The 802 has metal plates with a roller wheel on the...

Sound Anchor stands for Nautilus 802
                      by DanR
Anyone who has read my thread from a few weeks ago will remember me asking if anyone had Sound Anchor stands for the N802's and what their impressions were. Unfortunately, no one who read my thread had this set up as no one responded. So I went a head and purchased them blindly. Not my usual style as...
