    fpm6 vs fpm5 - which should i get?

have decided to go with the fpm range for rear surrounds.

    2 questions if i may:

    1. which one should i go for. price difference is not that great so should i just go for the 6's or is there a reason why 5's would be better?

    2. as they will be inline with sofa and plasma on opposite wall, should i just face them to plasma wall or tilt them towards sofa at say 45 degrees for eg?

btw, these speakers will compliment 705s, htm7 and asw700.

    thanks,

    julie

The FPM4 and FPM5 have the exact same sized driver and there is no difference. The FPM 6 is a little different because it has slightly bigger drivers and can reach a little lower with sounds. Go with what ever size fits your area , or if all looks about the same get the FPM 6.

I am not 100% sure about how to face them towards your listening area, but unlike most speakers FPMs are built to be close to or right on walls for and therefor can be a little more versitle.

p.s. what sub did you end up choosing?

        Opinions on FPM6
        by dssquared
I am currently having a house built and have to work with a difficult living room set up. Because the area of the screen and components is small, I won't have alot of room to work with. Therefore, I must seriously consider the FPM line of speakers. Specifically the FPM6. They will be on either stands...

Side and Rear speakers to match FPM's?
        by marius
I just ordered 3 FPM5's for LCR speakers. I'd like to eventually upgrade my rear/side speakers to match the FPM's in the front, but my wife says that they need to be in white or silver. I could go for FPM2's but they seem a bit pricy (especially after going over-budget on the FPM5's).

Will this combination work - 705s with htm7 with fpm6's?
        by alpina
        Hi guys,

We have a room that is about 4.6mts wide. on one end we have a 50" plasma and on the other our sofa.

We want to use 705s with htm7 at front. originally we were leaning towards inceilings for rear but are now looking at the option of fpm6's at rear on either...

FPM Series for rears in HT setup
        by alpina
        Hi all,

Anyone using these speakers for rear surround in a HT setup?

Front end will be 705s with HTM7

Thinking of using FPM6 on either side of rear wall, inline with sofa.

        What does everyone think?

        Regards,

        Ju...

        FPM Series Question
        by tmalke
I listened to the FPM6 series today with the FPM4's acting as rears. I thought they sounded spectacular for a wall mounted speaker. However, at the price I believe the 704's would be the better buy (but I do have my reasons for desiring wall mounted). The one thing that really stood out to me was...
