    CDM1NT's

    Hi Guys,
I just picked up a set of CDM1NT's for surround duty. I have not hooked them up yet but plan to use an Adcom 535 (60w x2) to power them. I am curious if anyone else uses an amp like this with these 1nt's and if they will be enough to bring them to life. The Adcom has been found to put out 78 watts/channel in testing. Do you think an upgrade is need? Thanks.

      HI UCLA,
I am using CDM7NT's for F/R and a CDMCNT as center. I have a 250 watt Krell for the 7's and an Outlaw 200 watt monoblock for the CNT.

The 1NT's aren't really efficient speakers, so I think an upgrade might be an order. I have had a set of CDM1NT's and they're wonderful speakers but are picky about there amplication in my opinion. I had them powered by a RB-1080 and they sounded wonderful. The 1NT's if I remember correctly are 120w rms. I would recommend something at least 100w per channel and has a good high current transformer in it.

Currently i have an adcom gfa-555 driving my fronts and a rotel 980 for my center and an adcom gfa-535 for the rears.
I have been reading about the bigger Rotel amps. Do Rotel owners prefer one massive amp over seperates?
          thanks

          Amp for statements
          by soundemon
          Hi All
I'm smack dab in the middle of a hunt for an amp to drive my statements. Options are wide, my budget is up to $2000 CDN used.
I was using an Anthem MCA30, but sold it to try something new. Currently I'm using an Adcom GFA 535 - 60WPC, that I picked up for $80. shamefull!...

Can anyone tell me any comparisons as far as the better amps between these three.I looking to get 2 or 3 channel amp in the 120-200 watt range. Are they warm, bright etc. They would be added to a rotel rsx1056 to power b&w 603s3's and lcr600.

          So, what happened to Adcom?

No retailers carry them anymore. Their product line has been limited and most of it has been out for extended period of time. I like the features of the Adcom GTP-880 preamp, but I'm afraid to make the purchase due to any reliability/quality issues that there...
