    what a great feeling!

Well, it started almost 2 years ago, but I have finally finished upgrading my speakers for the next 10 years. I feel a sense of accomplishment and will enjoy these speakers for quite some time. Im wondering what it will be like to actually have money again... guess there will still be tweaks to do. heh.

My 7.1 speakers are as follows:
    L/R: B&W N804
    C: B&W NHTM1
    SL/SR: B&W NSCM1
    BL/BR: B&W NHTM2
    SUB: B&W ASW-850

Of course I would have rather had SCM1's all around me in the back, but I was able to get great deals on the HTM2's so I went that route instead.

I hope to get pic's up soon.

Nice setup & choices. I just got the N804 for my 2 ch setup. Would you recommend the AWS 850 for a sub ibn 2 ch mode? I am using RC-1070 & RB-1070 along with Denon DCM 370 as source. Mind me asking what you paid for the sub?

sikoniko, that sounds awesome! Can't wait to see the pics!!!

Heck I can't wait till I can get into the 800 series myself!!!

Miner, the ASW850 will do perfectly fine for 2ch listening. Though I think you can get better subs for cheaper.

i think the 850 is seemless with the 804's. you can not identify where the sound is coming from, just that the sound is full.

I just got superspikes in yesterday for my 850 and it cleaned it up some too. autoeq is supposed to be coming out for my pre (p-965) so i was going to wait for that before doing the bfd. save money where i can.

The AutoEQ won't come anyways near what the BFD can do....

              NSCM1 or SCMS
              by junior77blue
Just looking to get some opinions between the NSCM1 vs. SCMS.

These will be for rear surround duty. Current speakers include N804 & HTM2.

Obviously, the NSCM1 would have to be purchased 2nd hand, going on audiogon is ~$1200-1500. With the USA price increase the SCMS...

              Used N804 worth $2500??
              by tboooe
Hi. I am contemplating getting a used pair of N804 for around $2500. I really watned to get the 804s but cant swallow the thought of spending $5000 on speakers. So here is my question: are the n804 worth $2500? In other words, for the quality they offer, am I getting a deal or can I get something...

              N804 or 804s
              by shades
Will the N804 be a good match with the HTM4s and 805s rears? I'm asking because i can get a great deal on the N804 from my dealer but i'm apprehensive about the sound matching with the HTM4s and 805s in 5.1. Now all my music listening is in 2 channel.

My dealer has the 803s, which i listened...

              Upgrading from N804--need suggestions
              by akhter
              First the good news...

I bought my N804 new 8 years ago. Got a good deal on the last brand new pair at the dealer right when 804S was launched.

Looks like the 2nd value of the speakers are shockingly high--I can expect to get 80% of what I paid for them 8 years ago!...

I thought this might be of interest to some of you. Hopefully, at least Zaph (Krutke) and Jon Marsh may find reason to comment on my results or to add suggestions for others building these projects.
