    7.1 advice on rears with B&W 600 Series 3

Hi, I'm thinking about going with the 600 Series 3 for my 7.1 HT. I'm not sure what to get for the rears.

    Front L & R: DM604 S3

    Center: LCR600 S3

    Side L & R: DS6 S3

    Rear L & R: ?

    Should I go with dipoles (DS6 S3), bookshelf (DM600 S3) or ceiling (CCM65).

For aesthetic reasons, I'd like to go with the DS6 S3. (match the sides) But is this the best audio choice?

    Thanks.

depends on your room pvs....IMO, the DS6s are not worth the $600 a pair price that they ask for. They're no where near the performance of the 602s as they're the same price. It seems like you care about the aesthetics of the speakers alot and you prefer to have smaller surrounds. Have you considered getting 602s w/ the 7 in. drivers to match up with your 604s mains? The 602s are big for bookshelf speakers, so 601s and 600s might be more WAF friendly. I'd pick the 601s, since it's what I use as surrounds and I think DS6 are too expensive for what it is.
If they're going to be mounted against a wall, the 601s and 602s might give you better imaging since they're front ported. The 600s are rear-ported, but they're meant to be wall mounted. Kinda weird to have a rear-ported speaker designed to be wall mounted.

      Should I keep 600s/exchange for 602s?
      by BlazeMaster
Hi, everyone I just got my 600s almost 2 weeks ago, and am thinking about exchanging the 600s for 602s. I can then put the 602s in front to match the LCR600 better and keep my 601s that I have as fronts right now and then use them for surrounds. The price difference would only be about $300. The...

      DS6 or DS7?

Just registered to forum today. Long time lurker here. Wondering if anyone owns any of these speakers. Right now i have 705s for fronts, LCR6 for center, 602s for rears. I need to make room for more seating so these surrounds will work well. I really like the monopole/dipole option too. I am looking...

      100W enough for B&W CDM 9NTs?
      by Blindamood
:?: Until recently, I was running my Pioneer Elite VSX-45TX receiver (100W x 7) with B&W 602s, 601s, and CC6 speakers (and Velodyne sub) in a 5.1 arrangement. I have been very pleased with this setup for both multi-channel music and movies. Recently, however, I received an small influx of cash and...

      601s vs the 705s?
      by BlazeMaster
Hi, all I currently have the 601s right now for my fronts with the LCR600 and am planning for a eventual upgrade to the 700 series within next 6 months and wanted some ideas. I know it's all going to come down to me listening to them and pick the one I like better. What's the different in sound between...
