    Wall mount 805's

Anybody out there ever put any 805's on the wall?

A reshuffle of my system leads me to think this could be the best place for them.

    Any ideas??

    THANKS

hmmm I have never heard of anyone fixing 805's on wall, however I find that my 805's benefit from 'free space' placement - tend to become a little boomy when closer to the walls? ...before you fix them permanently (and if cables permit), try listening at both locations, close to and then away from your walls...listen to the bass most of all, this can become fatiguing if these are not suitable speaker placements. If it niggles you now it will only drive you insane later

PS. Caleb, you live in Cape Town so you should have a large enough room for free space speaker placements - buy longer cables! hehe

Are you using the 805's as surrounds btw?

Yes I am using these as my rear surrounds and wanted to get them out of the way.

However, I placed them on higher stands, and you are right getting them aout 75 cms away from the wall did improve the sound noticably.

        Thanks

HI, i CALLED SOUND ANCHOR'S AND THEY MADE ME A SET OF STANDS THAT MOUNT ON THE WALL. THEY SOUND GREAT BUT THEY ARE PRETTY HEAVY SO YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THEM ANCHORED GOOD PREFERABLLY TO SOME WALL JOISTS IF PLACEMENT ALLOWS.

            Is a 17x15 room too big for B&W 805S?
            by romnation
Right now I have a pair of B&W 805s, which I am using in a 14 1/2 x 13 room. I have them set up on the long wall, about 6 feet away from the rear wall, and I sit about 6 feet from the speakers. It sounds great in there. I am running 200wpc into them. I am moving though, and will be having a 17x15...

            Hello Everyone,

I'm moving (again) in two weeks into a new house, and the house is surround sound friendly, so I'm looking into getting my 5.1 setup back again. Let me rephrase, it's surround-sound friendliER than the last two places I lived in. First let's start off with the size....

            805S positioning
            by Tommy
I had the 805S for more than 2 years now. They are great little speakers. :T
Now I'm trying to get the most out of them by tweaking their position. How do you guys position your 805S? I have them about 16 inches from the back wall and toe-in so the tweeters cross at about 2 feet behind me....
