Dust covers on 603s3's - Worth removing?

    Dust covers on 603s3's - Worth removing?

    I was reading some reviews on the 603s3 and they mentioned removing the black dust cover making them sound better.Does anyone know what they are actually talking about?or has anyone heard of this?what is the dust cover?

    Uhh, obviously they're talking about the grilles.

      removing the grilles does make a slight difference, SLIGHT. Try it for yourself and see if you can hear the difference, if you don't, then just leave them on to prevent damage to the drivers. The foam port blockers make a difference on the sound also, and they recommend using them if you can't get much distance between the back of the speaker and the wall.

        I have a lab and if you've ever been hit by that tail,you'll never remove the grilles.LOL
