removing the grilles does make a slight difference, SLIGHT. Try it for yourself and see if you can hear the difference, if you don't, then just leave them on to prevent damage to the drivers. The foam port blockers make a difference on the sound also, and they recommend using them if you can't get much distance between the back of the speaker and the wall.

          Speaker grilles & cleaning
          by rotel&energy
This is kind of a dumb question, but it popped into my head last night as I was taking the grilles off my speakers to admire them. Is there any problem w/ leaving the speaker grilles off all the time? I can't imagine that there is, except maybe more dust settling on them. I guess they may be a little...

Do you use your B&W 685 with grilles on or off?

A few minutes ago,I have removed the grilles,I feel like the sound has become more clear but I am not sure and also it is a possibility that maybe I am just dreaming it.

Does removing the grills make a real difference?I...

          Dust covers for 602 s3's
          by lobato
Just got some 602s and I think I'm in the initial paranoia stage of wanting to keep them pristine. I'm away from home occasionally on trips and I'd like to cover them up with dust covers. Has anyone found good covers that fit well? Ideally, I'd like to order from an online store rather than a B&M...

          Replacement "dust caps"?
          by Kyle
So, many of you may remember how my kitten destroyed the aluminum tweeter on my LCR60S3. I was told by someone here on the forum that I had nothing to fear, and could replace the "dust cap" on the tweeter for a nominal fee.

Well, the cat knocked the grille off of one of my DM603S3s...

          DUST?
          by Rock Dog
Wondering how members handle dust? DUST is a very important part of the care and maintainence of ALL your electronic equipment. It can cause real problems, especially with power supplys and amplifiers.

          1) Amps and power section with a nice layer of dust run hotter.
          2) If your...
