Upgrading rears makes front sound better???

Its odd, one would think that upgrading speakers would induce non-stop couch-potato-itis; however, this time of the year does not allow for much time in the home. As I posted in another thread, I recently got a pair of SCM1's to replace my 603's.

I hadn't had much of a chance to watch a movie. I started watching ROTK, but had to leave after the first hour. It has been eating me alive so when I had about 10 minutes to sit down and try and give myself a brief demo.

I put Gladiator in my player. The battle at the beginning is amazing and I knew it would give a proper aural demo. It is weird, as I posted before, the difference is amazing. My old speakers seem noisy now in comparison. What really threw me off though was how more pronounced my front speakers sounded.

I was thinking that this is perhaps because the tweeters, which encompass my room all match, and allows for clarity to be more pronounced.

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this?
I'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...

My dealer called me thrusday and told me to come in that afternoon, that he had something there for me. When I showed up, he had my SCM1's in! I brought them home, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to set them up that night. We went over to a friends house for sushi, and my fiance and I wanted to watch...

    Upgrading my good old 602's...
    by weijst
I'm planning on upgrading the front channels in my HT system by means of a couple of 705's or 805's with matching center speakers. I currently own a pair of DM602's S3 and a LCR 60. I have alway been impressed with the 602's capability for producing bass and I'm affraid that both the 705's and the 805's...

    WOO-HOO, upgrading my theatre

Well I finally took the first step to upgrading my Video Projector. Although my air-coupled Marquee 8500 CRT has served me perfectly for 3 years sometimes a deal you can't refuse comes along and you just have to jump. Funny thing is I never feel like upgrading when I'm actually watching movies, it's...

Any advantage in upgrading jumpers on 800 series

I am wondering if there is any sonic advantage in upgrading the jumpers between the LF and HF speaker posts on the 802D as I am in the process of upgrading speaker cable and have an opportunity to purchase jumpers with the new cable for an extra $150.00 however I don't want to waste my money if others...

    Thinking about upgrading
    by TYE
Im thinking of upgrading my current system and wanted to get your thoughts on options. I live in a large 1 bedroom condo (1200 sq ft) and the majority of what I use my system for is home theater. I do listen to music but its rare to just sit and listen, its more having it play while im around the house....
