          Looks amazing erich! :T

I actually prefer the grills on your 685s off for your room, blends in so well with the surroundings!

                  kyadawn,

i like them off better too but i only take them off when i use them.

                  wettou,

yeah i was fortunate enough to have been able to build the room from the ground up so i was able to route everything through the walls( concrete walls are the norm here in the Philippines which makes wiring a PITA) and have the acoustic treatments built into the design. it's not very noticable but the sidewalls are covered in fabric. the first reflection points are absorbed with 4" rockwool with a 2"gap behind them. . the other portions of the wall are high/mid/low bass traps i copied from ethan winer's site. the front corners are lined with superchunks and the ceiling has 8 panels of 2'x4'x8" rockwool

I also got a vintage pair of DM-17s driven by a vintage Sony LVT-901 amp, but cables need replacement. any suggestions ?

What a sweet setup. Very nice. Have the in-wall speakers met your expectations? They certainly look cool enough. What is the rest of your gear?

Is that a BluRay player on top of the sub? If so that is probably not the best place for it due to the vibrations. You have only just begun, so as far as wires get some basic well terminated wires for now and start saving up for some 800D's :B

I don't know if you need the glass stand in front of your center channel or not; but, if you don't need it, may I suggest that you move it because the sound from the center channel may be reflecting from your center channel. It's just a suggestion. Enjoy your setup. It's really really nice. :T
