Stupid question from a new 805 owner

I just purchased new 805's and was wondering if it is possible to use banana connections on them. I am using single spades on them now and purchased new bi-wires with bananas over e-bay and now they don't look like they will work, obviously I could switch the connections to spades but I was just curious.

yes, pull the plugs out of the back or push them through the holes and it should work fine.
I'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...

Like I said, stupid question! Once I played around with it, it was pretty obvious. By the way sikoniko, I have the Cinenova 3 and I am expecting my
804's for Christmas, can't wait to hear how they sound together.

With the newer series 800's it's easy to get them out, but I had a pair in the store where I used to work that were different.
There wasn't anything to grab hold of at the back so it was virtually impossible to get them out, I ended up driving a small screw into the plastic pin to be able to get it out.
And even then it wasn't easy.

Mine were down in there. I had to pick them out with a pin. Took me almost an hour to do all 4 posts on 5 speakers. Very aggivating. :M

I used one of the big staples from the box... angle the staple in there, and "screw" the WBT cap into it... the pin will gradually be pushed out by the end of the staple... took me 1 min. for each one. The B&W salesman showed me this technique.

that is a great idea with the staple trick. I was just going to plug the bananas sideways into the area where you would put bare wire, would that work as well?

That would work, but use the staple trick since you know it!

Yeah it would 'work' but those side terminals are meant for bare wire, not bananas. Your much better off removing the center pieces, thereby getting the better fit of your fittings.

                      Spades to fit Rotel?
                      by probeski
As far as i know Rotel accepts 5/16" spades. I am thinking of getting Cardas Golden Reference Speaker Cables with cardas spades which can be either 1/4" or 9mm (designed for the typical oversized european binding post). Will the 1077 work with cardas spades or will i have to get bananas;...
