    New Forum Features

vBulletin recently released a new version of the forum software. There are few new features that I really like with this update that I wanted to post about.

Feature 1, allows you expand or collapse parts of the forum now. Pretty nice to minimize the parts you don't have much interest in and expand the parts you do. You can click on the + or - symbols to expand/collapse the forum section.

Feature 2, this is something I'm really excited to see which was previously only available if hosting the forum on the vBulletin cloud service is now added to self hosted forums! Related Topics at the bottom of the page when reading a topic should show similar posts with content. I think this is really beneficial for any member to be able to browse through similar topics when you are visiting the forum.

Feature 3, members can now bookmark their favorite posts. There is a lot of great content on this forum and having to search all the time or bookmark links is one way to remember, but having a native feature to bookmark on the forum is a great option to have. To bookmark, click on the icon in the upper right corner of the post.

I hope you enjoy these new features, and if you have any feedback please share. You can message, email, or post a reply.

    Have a great Thursday!

Some of us have old eyes and like to see things sharp and clear on their 32" 4K monitors, so I'm going to take the liberty of reposting the first post in this thread, using the original source images.

Feature 1 allows you to expand or collapse parts of the forum, so you can focus on topics that are of greatest interest or relevance to you.

Related topics at the bottom of the page should show you similar posts with related content.

Finally, for those items you know you're interested in and may want to refer back to on a frequent basis, you can bookmark specific posts in a thread and be able to jump to the details you need...

This is going to be interesting... Say, I could go back through the Ardent D thread, and bookmark all the posts that are most relevant to the design reference and tweaks I'm doing for my own set, and a proposed build for JimS.

        Ongawa!!

        New Forum Features
        by theSven
The time has come to add some new features to the forum that enhance the user experience. The first new feature is that likes will now show who has liked a post. As I recall this was similar to what was available in the forum when using vBulletin 4.x. Above the area where you can like/give a thumbs...

Logitech removes features from Harmony Remotes!
        by chasw98
I have had Harmony remotes for more than 4 years now and up until yesterday I have been very happy with their functionality. They have allowed me to have a complex system that the family could operate.

Logitech has deemed it neccesary to remove the capability to send multiple commands...

During this maintenance window the forum will undergo and upgrade to the latest version of the software. I've waited for a couple patch releases since the initial release of...

        Features that you appreciate
        by Markj
With all of the great equipment out there it is sometimes hard to decide what to buy. I know that for some pieces in my HT system I had definite reasons why I bought a particular manufacture over another. Sometimes it was as simple as price but others had a particular feature that I wanted. For speakers,...

Challenge: Upgrade/Expand a Polk Center channel?
        by digitalman
I have Polk RT1000P mains and a CS245 center which is too small really with only 5.5 drivers. I want a much larger center soundstage. I should have the CS1000P center which is 4 x 6.5 drivers.
The CS1000 is tough to find and fairly old now. It is also a little deeper then i would like. I also...
