I have browsed through for some time now, just bumped into this one today. I really enjoy reading DIY speaker logs, so that would be my #1 attraction to this site
I used to run a small car audio shop for some time, but I was too nice a guy to jack up prices... so I'm no business guy
Decided to stick it all into my hobby catagory. Went from there to home speaker setups using partsexpress and had a good time designing my own crossovers. Have built a few for other people since, but mine is currently lacking (was one of my first builds ever!). Also, projector bulb burned out about a year ago, home theater room turned into a storage unit... its a mess.
SO... I'm hear because I want to get back into it. I got motivated after helping a friend build "The Encores" from the DIY of PE (except, designed ported in-wall speaker boxes instead) for his 5.1 system. After hearing (or should I say, experience?) them, I got home and started researching immediately.
So to sum it up, I would call my self an experienced newb to home theater and look forward to reading what I can, then bugging you guys with questions!
