Do you know if this puppy has a digital out? I want to pass the digital signal from my LD player onto another pre/pro (in the future).
Also, is the the remote that comes with this unit the Pronto with just a different name on it?

I have the AV550 and it doesn't have a digital out, 3 digital inputs [one coax], [one toslink]and [one RF {for laserdisc}]
The remote that comes with it is the RC2000. The Marantz version of the Pronto is the RC5000, so no it does not come with a Pronto.

Darn. I was hoping to kill a couple of birds with one remote.
Hard to convince my wife that I need a new pre/pro that costs that much, (even if it is a great deal) just to get AC-3 for my LD's.

I have been very happy with my AV-550. I think it holds its own on music and movies.
I don't really have anything that I can compare it to...so I can't say it's better than X or Y.
Paul, don't sell the RC2000 remote short. It was called "The Remote of the Gods" by more than one HT magazine. Of course that was before the Pronto hit
