I will be spending about 4 months in Santa Fe and was wondering if there are any members from there. Looking to find out about record stores in particular.

can I make one small suggestion? Right now you can use the letters to jump to say the "W" names but you can't use them for the location. Could you add a set or radio buttons or a drop down menu to allow the user to select either location or name. Then when the user hit "W" it would check which field the user wanted to search against and then jump to the "W". Make sense?

Sorting and/or selecting on "Location" is a nice idea, but like so many things in data processing, its effectiveness is still dependent on the underlying data. We have a large number of members (117) who did not enter anything at all for location, and some who put in unusual ("home is where the CAT is") :>) or non-obvious place names like, for example, "west of Houston" that a scan of the list for "Houston" based on an alphabetical sort would miss (since the sort is from first character in the field forward rather than "contains") or "Puyallup" instead of "Seattle" (which almost no one except someone who lives there would guess). :>)

As for record stores, it appears the best ones in Sante Fe are in Albuquerque. :>) You might want to check out the ones on this list: http://www.digitalcity.com/albuquerq...trecordstores/ For a longer list, click on"More record stores in your area." below the list that comes up with that URL.
Good luck!
Burke
PS -- as far as I could tell, not one member here has entered "Sante Fe" as their location.
