Another reason to choose CAT Cables...

If you can believe it, Monster Cable Inc. has been suing other companies that use "Monster" in their company or product names. Examples include Monster.com (the job website), Monster.biz (a site that links to madmartian.com, above), and even Disney for the use of "Monsters, Inc."

Stuff like that sure makes me glad we have an alternative source for interconnects!

So Doug, you aren't going to sue me for the use of patzcatz.com, are you, since it has "cat" in it?

Actually, now that you mention it Kevin, I need to place a call to my attorney, lol.

I saw this, and am in total disbelief actually. It's a travesty of justice that they ever let him trademark a word like Monster. Monsters been around a helluva lot longer than cables!

I would guess their will be a slamm campaign by home theater fans equivilent to Bose or DIVX, seriously, judging from the stiring I am seeing, it's entirely possible...

UPDATE: The link above has new information - after receiving many emails from irate folks they are withdrawing the suit against Monster.biz. So the Monster does have a heart after all. Nonetheless, I'm still replacing my remaining Monster Cables with CAT Cables! :B

Yes, but they should also not require Monster.com to have a link to monster cable at the bottom of their site. Not until all the wolves are called off are things "right".

        Agree?

Actually, Monster.com removed the link to Monster Cables from its main page. It's still there but "commented out". You can see it if you view source.

Actually, it's still there at the very bottom of the page, says

"For Patrons of Monster Cable" With a hot link to Monster Cable.

Did they return the settlement money to Disney? Didn't think so.

Regardless, they are still weenies. Can we say weenies here?

Oh, I see the link on Monster.com when I turn off my Norton firewall. It has an ad blocker and it apparently recognizes that one and comments it out!

In any case, if Monster Cables wants a link on Monster.com, they should pay Monster.com the appropriate advertising fees!

I'll have to check and make sure Norton isn't blocking any CatCables banners. I like those ones! :B :T

Okay, that's it... I'm burning all my Monster cables. Nerds! Of course I don't use any anymore so I don't need them anyway.

I really find this hard to believe. Maybe that old show called "The Monsters" (or something like that) should sue Monster Cable.

found this review this morning...looks like another winner from Pixar

The monster magic of the Disney-Pixar computer animated film Monsters, Inc. worked wonderfully at the theatres last year. Now it's even more fun on DVD.

                      I'm talking about the two-disc Collector's Edition...

There's another world inhabited by monsters that come out of the closet at night to scare children. They don't do this to be mean, but to capture the scream energy from childeren to power their world. The other thing is, the monsters are just as scared of children. The story follows the top monsters,...
