    Monsters Inc.

There's another world inhabited by monsters that come out of the closet at night to scare children. They don't do this to be mean, but to capture the scream energy from childeren to power their world. The other thing is, the monsters are just as scared of children. The story follows the top monsters, Sulley and Mike as they try to break the top scream gathering record. But there's one catch, somehow a child comes through to monster land.

Although this film is geared more for the younger crowd, my friends and I totally enjoyed this movie. There were some good laughs and of course the animation from Pixar was increadible.

The bonus is that we were able to watch this on a DLP system. The presentation was increadible. The clarity, colours, contrast, everything was top notch. I was able to watch a DLP presentation of Jurassic Park 3, and while it looked good, it didn't jump out and scream, "this is the future." Well, with the animation from Monsters Inc, this presentation jumped out and screamed, "This is the Future!" No nicks, no loose threads, no grain. I really pushed to go see DLP showing of Monsters, and they are glad I did.

    Paul,
I am dying to see a theatrical relase ( any release) in the Digital Cinema . Is there one in Vancouver ? Not that I plan to hop over for the weekend or anything, I am just curious to know whether or not Digital Cinema has finally hit Canada ?
As for Monsters Inc. I am a sucker for this kind of animation and will probably buy the dvd when it comes out.

Hopefully other cinemas will jump in the fold in the not too distant future.

found this review this morning...looks like another winner from Pixar

The monster magic of the Disney-Pixar computer animated film Monsters, Inc. worked wonderfully at the theatres last year. Now it's even more fun on DVD.

          I'm talking about the two-disc Collector's Edition...

This is a prequel to Pixar's popular Monster's Inc, telling the story of how ALL of the main characters of the original movie (I can't think of any left out) met each other. Mainly about Mike Wiszowski and James P. Sullivan, as they meet in college, initially on very bad terms.

          Overall,...

Of course this was inevitable after the rear projection DLP 1080p displays were announced. :T But the BIG question will be the FPTV unit pricing.

Blockbuster has a repeat of the "Lord of the Ring" deal for Monster's Inc. For $24.99 you get 10 free rentals and of course Monster's Inc.

Not a bad deal if, you watch a lot of movies. 8) Just thought I'd pass the info.

          HP 5880n DLP Review:

          First Glance:
          1. The TV is very aesthetically pleasing. Solid black with rounded corners. It looks very nice. I got a big thumbs up from the wife when I put it on the DLP stand. I have a 61-inch DLP stand and the 58-inch TV takes up the whole stand.
