    Lex I now understand:)

I have now had an Elite 27TX in my possesion for a week. I truly understand why you are so happy with the 24TX. The sound and ease of use is amazing. Okay, it's pretty too! Thanks for sparking my intrest in this series!

John, I am glad I was able to assist with "sparking your interest". The Elite series is usually like money in the bank. I mean, it's a sure thing, most of the time. I have not personally had a bad Elite product. In fact, when I upgrade to HDTV, I fully intend to give the Elite top consideration.

I just moved into a new home, that's why I have not been around much. Since this yielded a larger HT room, it was the perfect excuse to up grade:B. I am still surprised at how clean the sound is from these units. One would almost think it wasn't really on until some real action comes in to play. This is the first unit that I have owned that has zero leakage from the center channel.

I hope that the Elite HDTV gives you the same performance that you have come to enjoy with the rest of their products.

I will give this series a much harder look in my future upgrades. I am tickled pink with this receiver. No more cutting conners for me!!!

Great John Welcome to the Elitists club!

Be careful cutting conners though. That could get you thrown in jail. Not cutting corners might be safer, lol.

          Lex/John...

Both of my nephew's have the Elite 29THX. I saw a demo yesterday with the Elite 610-HD, and the Elite DV-37/38. By far this was the best picture I have seen up to date. This weekend I will take my DV-09 to the store and hook it up to the 610-HD with the internal doubler, and see if I need to get the DV-37/38.

            MRWILL,
I've heard some good things about the new Elite dvd players. But, I also know that your DV-09 is a solid performer. My guess would be a picture close to the 37/38 with the line doubler.
How do your nephews like the touch screen remote?

            Lex,
You caught that. I'm not ready to go to jail, I have a young 27TX to raise:B

They love the remote. One has an all Polk audio spk set-up, and the other has an all NHT spk set-up. They love for me to be the in-between to say who's system's the best. I'll never tell. Lots of fun.

                  Lex,
When you set your speaker levels on the 24tx, did you use the noise gen or VE/Avia?

My reason for asking is, to my surprise, when I set the levels using the Elite's gen to achieve a 75db level, It was "dead on" 85db when I popped in the Avia disc. I was shocked because with the many units over the years, this was a first!

John, I used VE I think, but that's been a while, it's probably due a setup.

Power Supply for the Pioneer Elite receivers
                      by John Holmes
I was lokking in the top off my receiver when I noticed that the power supply doesn't say Elite on it. I remember that VXS09TX had this in bold letters on it, My VSX27TX does not. I know that they may have decided to change with the newer models however, should I be concerned? Also the older power supply...

I have lived with this unit for six months now. Like most things in life, it has it's pros and cons. But, so far the pros have been winning the battle.

When I started looking a new receiver, I knew that THX was something that I wanted. I own a Pro-logic THX processor (which I moved to...

Elite Receiver owners, has this ever happen to you?
                      by John Holmes
My volume knob gets stuck every now and then when using the remote. When it does it, I'll move it manually and it seems to be fine for awhile. Is this the begining of a bigger problem to come?

I understand that I may get a biased answer on this, considering the forum, but I have a question.

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on my first setup and I'm trying to decide on which Surround Receiver to go with. Has anyone been able to compare these two units side by side. ...
