Hmmmm... getting more and more tempting to jump in, just to watch a few movies.

first gen player 299 at that site is a nice piece, even if a bit slow to load. But then my BD player is slow to load too... I am not endorsing that site, I know nothing about them.

The site is owned by a memeber here (Robert Zohn), and he is very reputable. I will say that that I found out there were only 200 models priced at that and the regular price is apx, $238.00.

For future reference this site is legit.

that was actually the top of the line first gen player, the HD-XA1. For those of you who don't have HDMI audio input on a new receiver don't forget that the HD-XA1 has 6 channel analog audio out, the HD-A2 does not.
6 channel analog out is the only way to get ucompressed Dolby True HD to an older receiver like My Denon .

Yes, well it was top of the line, is true. would you expect less of me? LOL. It has a glitch every now and then, seizes up or such, but overall I have been quite happy with the video quality. I can live with it well into the future. I think.

If you can't find the Toshiba HD A2 for under $200, you can probably get it from Amazon for $238, like I did a couple of months ago.
