    Denon and J6P

I read in a post elsewhere some mention of a Denon Home Theater in a box.Not that I am interested in buying, mind you, I am just curious about the quality. Anyone seen a review ? This could be an excellent introduction to quality home theater for Joe 6 Pack if the price is right. And if the quality is there to begin with. Denon have their reputation to think about, so I'm sure it will be a good buy for a newby.

I've never owned any Denon gear. Like you've stated though, they have a good rep and would probably want to keep it that way.

    It will hopefully do well.

With the Kenwoods, Sony's, Pioneer, Denon and a few other HTB's out on the market I think this is going to be a big growth area in the next few years. For some households where SAF is all important these might be just the alternative to bose what they need.

The HT in a box is also a great system to install into the bedroom.

The system offered by Denon and Onkyo are around $2k CDN.. The other systems mentioned retail for about $1K CDN

Dennon's HT in a box includes Mission speakers too. That alone puts it in a class ahead of much of the competition.

A friend of mine wanted me to go pick up a HT in a box with him and we picked up the Denon at Sears for $629.

Im not impressed with Denons remote nor the fumbling about needed to switch simple DD and DTS and PLII

Its a pretty decent sounding system but its not J6P friendly........I receive a call every time they want to watch a movie because the remote looks like a space shuttle control panel

MArk if there's one thing Denon does well its design awful remotes. Luckily I never used mine with the pronto. If they want something a little more friendly why not pick them up a Cinema 7 or something?

Im going to pick up a Radio Shack 7-1 remote and program it for them.......HDTV, DVD and DD,DTS, ProLogic II is a little over bearing on them as it has been the dozen others I have got involved in this HT stuff........sooner or later they catch on

My comparision of RSP 1098 to Denon AVC A1SE+ (AVR5803) (long)
                  by Ossi
So the last 2 days I have been listening intensively to the RSP 1098 and my “old” Denon AVC A1SE+ which is more known as AVR 5800+ (with upgrade) in the US.
This comparison does only represent personal view of both units side by side. However I thought it might be interesting to let you guys...

                  by LEVESQUE
I was able to try my new Denon 1910 and compare it with my LG7832 (canadian Zenith DVB318 clone). My LG was bought the 1st day it came out, and has the first firmware version, and I didn't perform any firmware upgrades on it.

-I find picture quality to be almost the same on both. On...
