    Mounting speakers on stands

I've got a set of nice (Sound Organisation) speaker stands, which have the small upward-point spikes for securing/isolating the speaker. However, these spikes can potentially cause damage to the bottom of the speaker. Are these really worth the potential for damage, or is there a better way to achieve the same result? Any suggestions are appreciated!

    Hi Blind -

Are there spikes on the bottom of the stand too? If not you may have the stand upside down. My stands have spikes on the bottom to

But to answer your question, you can get plastic pads, clear or colored and line them up with the spikes.

    Hope that helps.

      Mounting Speakers to Stands

Hi. I have DM602's on Sanus stands. The spiked feet on the stand provide decent stability but, due to dogs and kids, I'd really like to bolt the speakers to the stands. There are holes on the top plate but was wondering if it's a good idea or not and, if so, how far into the bottom of the speaker is...

What I can use under my 604 S3 to not damage hardwood floor
      by AudioAddict
      Hi,

I will be installing hardwood floor in my listening room tomorow. The problem is that the spikes will damage the floor, I was just thinking about something that I can put under the speakers. I was looking on the pictures of your setups, and I saw that some of you who own wooden floors...

      Speaker Spikes and Wood Floors

Currently building Zaph's SR71 and matching stands. First primer coat on drying on sands as I type. Having difficulty deciding how to spike the stands.

With my sub, PE's 10" Titanic, I quickly learned pointy spikes + wood floors = disaster and the separate floor plates are a joke...

      STAV24 Stands with CM1?
      by GoodOmens
Anyone know if the STAV24 will work with the CM1 speaker?

I know the FS CM/700 stands are designed for them - but at $400 kinda pricey.

The only thing I'm worried about with the STAV24's is the speaker falling off and /or the the "spikes" hurting the bottom of...

Sound Anchor stands for Nautilus 802
      by DanR
Anyone who has read my thread from a few weeks ago will remember me asking if anyone had Sound Anchor stands for the N802's and what their impressions were. Unfortunately, no one who read my thread had this set up as no one responded. So I went a head and purchased them blindly. Not my usual style as...
