If you don't click on Brandon's link, you're in denial about what home theater's all about. Heck, wonder what theater managers would think if we lugged that into the theaters.

you just need to have your wireless connected laptop on one of the chair arms, so you can continue to read and post at HT Guide while engaging in the rest of your HT life....

Have you been in a theater lately? That's not too far off the mark, as far as how humans act in a movie theater these days.

The easiest way to find something lost around the house, is to buy a replacement.

As long as people will accept crap, it will be financially profitable to dispense it.

              What do movie theaters/cinemas use?
              by rotel&energy
I always wondered what kind of gear movie theaters and cinemas use. I'm assuming they have multiple channels with many more speakers and much more power than a home theater setup. Does anyone know any specifics on what gets installed in movie theaters or how they do surround sound, amps, etc. in theaters?...

Are movie theaters safe for newborns?
              by Andrew Pratt
My daughter is only 6 weeks old and I'm wondering if movie theaters are a danger to her hearing? This could be movies in a commercial theatre or at home in my basement theatre. Obviously loud noises are a concern for us all but are newborns more susceptible to damage even at lower volumes? I've tried...

              In The Theaters.... 2002/02/01
              by David Meek
Hmmm, some good choices in the theaters right now. My personal "wanna see it" list is:

              Blackhawk Down
              The Count Of Monte Cristo
              Lantana
              Birthday Girl
              The Royal Tenenbaums

As a busy weekend is planned for the Meek household, I'll most...

              by Andrew Pratt
It seems there's a number of users on this forum that are rather fond of using maggies in their home theaters, myself included. I have had a number of people email me askig my oppinion on their benefits, drawback and the like so I thought I'd start a thread on the subject.

NEW YORK -- Executives from top movie theater chains on Wednesday dismissed calls to shorten the period between a film's release on the big screen and on DVD, saying it would be harmful to studios, theaters and consumers.
