The 3801 only has one line level sub output. I have one sub at the front of the room ( approx 14 feet from my sweetspot) and the rear sub near the back wall and approx 6 feet from my sweetspot. I am using a splitter to run the back sub. I calibrated the front sub with the distance set at 14 feet. To do so, I had to shut off the rear sub. Now, how do I calibrate the rear sub for a distance of 6 feet ? I shut the front sub down and calibrated the rear sub as best I could without changing the 14 foot distance used for the front sub.I did have to tame the rear sub by turning the volume down a bit. Everything sounds okay, but the distance thing hsa been bothering me. Is it all that important for the sub ? I know it is for the rest of the speakers, but maybe I am worrying about nothing as far as the sub goes.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.BTW, the front sub is a Boston Acoustics 100 watt and the rear is a Yamaha 50 watt.
