Gee, TEK, are you sure about that word, "realistic" in your lead in sentence? Seems to me you could have an oxymoron there... but if 146" fits in your room, go for it!
But wait, you're in Norway, won't you have to wait for the metric version, or will that be released at the same time? :Wthe AudioWorx

If you've got the room and budget to cover it, why not? Who wouldn't want a mini-IMAX at home? Are we invited to the "grand opening"?

by OvationI have a Sony VPL-AW15 projector (and I have had no serious complaints in 2.5 years--a few very minor quibbles, but only because no display is perfect) and a few days ago (just as we had settled the kids into the HT for a family viewing of Up on BD), I turned on the projector, selected the PS3 for BD... -
by KeithMI'm 14 and plan to go to a 4-year college. My projector seems like it will need a bulb in a while, but I'd rather upgrade my projector than shell 350 out for a 100:1 contrast projector with an s-video connector. Next summer I'll be able to get a "real" job" and will have a decent amount... -
My beloved Sony (LOVE the picture quality.. Hate the fan noise, and the green blobs I keep getting when the blue deflector plate gets overheated.. But other than that..) is on it's last legs..
I have a budget of 3-4K Cdn (I live in BC, Canada) to spend on a replacement..

by Chris DThis projector is one of many about to hit the market, but this one is catching my eye. It seems to be the lowest cost widescreen 1280x720 projector that will be available starting this fall at somewhere MAYBE near $2,000. 700 Lumens, 1200:1 contrast ratio. Supposed to be quieter than the Z1 also, which... - Loading...
