Denon3808ci question

How do i add rear surround channels to a multi channel input like Truehd audio.

I try to use the button to select another surround mode, but it doesn't do anything.

If it says "multi channel" does that mean the BR player has decoded it already.

Would it be different if i selected bitstream and let the Denon decode it ?

I think you would need to let the Denon do the processing. I did not run a 7.1 setup so I am not 100% sure of the settings.

If you are trying to get a 5.1 soundtrack to 7.1, I think you will need to use the Dolby PLII setting.

Ok, so bitstream to the Denon. Let me check the settings on the BR player...

Yup, once i switched to HD bitstream, i was able to engage TrueHD+PLcinema. I guesss to get this the Denon needs to do the processing. Multi channel is just that, a processed signal by the BR player...

So, this doesn't seem to work with dts-Master....
