    Denon AVR-5308CI

Does anyone own this reciever. I need a second opinion. I would like to buy this reciever for the features and use a Rotel RMB1095 to output the sound. Here are some specs.

    150 watts x 7 into 8 ohms (20-20,000 Hz) at 0.05% THD
    THX Ultra2 certification
THX Surround EX, Dolby® True HD, DTS-HD™ Master Audio, Dolby® Digital Plus, DTS-HD™ High Resolution Audio, Dolby® Digital EX, DTS-ES™, Pro Logic® IIx, and DTS Neo:6 decoding, and Dolby Headphone processing
Silicon Optix Realta HQV video processing and scaling
Audessey Laboratories' MultEQ XT eight-point auto setup and room calibration system (microphone included)
built-in Wi-Fi for music and JPEG streaming from a PC network
XM Satellite Radio Ready with decoding for XM's HD Surround channels (requires XM subscription and optional XM Mini-Tuner package)
built-in HD Radio tuner with multi-casting reception
Compressed Audio Restorer for better sound with compressed music sources
    four-room/four-source output:
powered and line-level stereo audio output with volume, balance and tone control for 2nd room (using powered 2nd or 3rd room stereo output allows 5.1 home theater in main room)
composite, S-video, and component video output for 2nd room (composite video output for 3rd room)
line-level or powered stereo audio output with volume, balance, and tone control for 3rd room
digital audio output for 4th room via optical digital out (available only with sources input through an optical or coaxial digital connection to receiver)
discrete 2nd room theater output (optical digital)
conversion of optical or coaxial digital signals to analog audio output for 2nd and 3rd rooms (PCM signals only)
Advanced AL24 Processing for all channels

Any issues with Rotel 1056/1067/1068 and Dolby Digital EX?
    by basementjack
I just got a new Toshiba HD-A3 HD-DVD player, and am noticing an issue with SD discs encoded in Dolby Digital EX - when I advance a track forward (aka chapter skip) the Rotel gets confused and outputs tons of noise.

Changing inputs on the rotel and back fixes the problem, so the output...

I got word of this new Dolby digital format to be called Dolby Digital Plus from an industry friend and its supposed to be unvielded at the NAB conference shortly. DOLBY DIGITAL PROBLEMS and 1068
    by DHR
I have a question about the Dolby digital. I think the Dolby digital is set to on - on the satellite receiver. This causes the 1068 to switch to Dolby digital even though it is set for 5 channel stereo. I am confused with the Dolby digital. Once it switches to Dolby digital the sound quality is worse....
