Not new to DIY, but still a novice

Currently have 5.1 set-up using Dayton 8", Vifa 3" dome and RT Ribbon as the mains. Center channel is a MTM, surrounds are again PE drivers. Subs are 2 10" JBL's. None of them are "voice matched". Electronics are a Yahama 7.1 Rec., Adcom200 WPC for the subs. I'd like to build something smaller (6.5" ??) that is very efficient. Thought of using Eminence 6.5" and Morel CAT378 horn loaded dome. Sensitivity would come in around 93-95 db @1 watt for dynamic range. Don't like horns....
    Any ideas?

      by looneybomber
Both can be had at PE, but Madisound has a PDF for them, so I will link to there for that purpose.

      Crossover help
      by jeffc52053
I've recently built 4 TM's and 1 MTM for HT. For the MTM I used Audax 6.5" (2) and a Morel CAT378 Dome tweeter. The 6.5's are rated at 89 Db and the Morel is rated at 93 Db. The TM's are Pioneer 6.5" and the Morel CAT378. The Pioneer is rated at 93 Db. I wanted a very dynamic system which...

Any Experience: SB25STC-C000-4 Textile Dome Tweeter
      by tpremo55
Looking in the new category at Madisound, I found this tweeter. For a budget build with a 6" or less midbass, it looks like something worth considering. To my novice eye, the curves look good - with a potentially beneficial dip right at the baffle step region. Obviously no time-decay info to...

      Dome

A driver that utilizes a dome-shaped (convex) diaphragm is commonly referred to as a dome driver. This design is often used in tweeters and occasionally in midrange drivers. The dome diaphragm is typically made of materials like silk, fabric, or metal (aluminum, titanium, and beryllium are relatively common), and is attached to a voice coil at its center.

      Advantages of Dome Drivers:
