    Whats your calibration routine?

Just thought it would be nice to share some information about calibration and what everyone does to get there system sounded just right.

    For me:

    1. Confirm all cables for LCR are the same lenght (Same for rears)
    2. EQ Subwoofer using Velodyne EQ and MIC
    3. EQ speakers using Denon Audessy
    4. Adjust crossover settings normally SMALL/60hz for LCR and SMALL/80hz for rears.
    5. Subwoofer set to 60hz
    6. Using a SPL meter and the TEST button confirm all speaker levels are the same. Normally 75dB.

    What do you guys do?

    by Jeff Kowerchuk
Well, I finally sealed up the calibration on my 56H80 and thought I would share my results. What follows is a review of the TV itself and the results of the calibration.

As many are aware, the 56H80 is the latest model of Toshiba's 56" 16x9 set. After suffering at the hands of downconversion...

    CD player routine maintenance? (RCD-971)
    by JonJeffman
    Hey there,
So I found a RCD-971 locally that I picked up for a good price, but it'll either be one of those 'best-deal-ever' or 'waste-of-money' sort of things. Wondering if there's some simple routine maintenance I can/should do?

The original owner said that about 1% of the time,...

    LCR-600 as surround speaker
    by bartk
Is an LCR-600 usable as surround speaker ? reason I ask is that, in my current setup I'm using 1 LCR-600 as center back. What I was thingking of doing is to move my current surrounds (DM602's) to the rear, and getting an additional LCR-600 to be used as surround.

    other option would be...

    LCR Meter
    by madclown99
Would this LCR meter be adequate for measuring parts for a XO? Specifically, for unwinding inductors to the desired value... I'm no electrician, but these items look easy to use:

    Lcr 600?
    by ric888
    Hi guys,

Sorry if i had to put up another thread concerning the LCR 600...
As for my last tread, most of you agrees with the LCR 600 as a center even if your fronts would be the 602... i for myself agrees with that, as mentioned, better dynamics etc.

    Q: what about...
