    home speaker system recommendations

I'm looking to set up a small speaker system for under $1500. I'm not really looking for surround, this would be mostly for music, though I'd probably still connect to my TV. I'd like to be able to play all of my music wirelessly through my Apple laptop, so I'd need a unit that can receive wirelessly and output to an amp.

Ideally I'd like a set of floor standing speakers, an amp/preamp/receiver combo thing, and some kind of wireless unit. I'd like to avoid a sub if possible as I'm in an apartment in NYC and sound leaks really bad. I do like my bass, though. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

As for what sound I'm looking for, I like a full, detailed sound, with thick punchy bass. Imaging doesn't matter too much to me, and I don't ever really listen to live music. I love crystal clear guitar and hearing musicians inhale. Hope that helps some :T

    Thanks.

Wireless without a sub but must have bass... that's a tough one. B&W is making the XT series with wireless system called The Liberty. It's worth a look at, but it does have a sub and surround. I know they showed it off at CES this year, so it may not be available yet.

Oh, I'm not actually looking for wireless speakers, just a unit to recieve music wirelessly so I don't have to connect a CD player or plug my computer or mp3 player in. Someone recommended a Logitech Squeezebox, which looks like it'd fit my needs perfectly. So I guess I'd just be looking for speaker and amp recommendations at this point.

Sonos or Squeezebox, or Apple TV, apple also has another thing that'll stream music.
