Hey all. I just received my NAD T752 and have it hooked up. The unit itself is in mint condition as my seller told me. Initially i thought that it was not a very nice looking receiver as it is quite plain but it is growing on me now.
I tried hooking it up with my Rotel RB 1070 powering my fronts and the Nad doing the rest. Sounded good. I then unhooked my Rotel and let the Nad power everything. Sounded just as good. I was quite surprized at this because with my Denon 3805, the rotel was a big improvement in sound.
I found that my DVD player with music sounded better via analog than digital. Quite strange because it is a cheap toshiba player and i thought the DACs in the Nad would be superior to the Toshiba's. I then realized that there was only a difference between the two in "stereo" mode only and not in any of the other surround modes....strange. Anyone care to give their thoughts on why this would be?
I was quite leary about purchasing this model after reading about all the bugs it had initially but my seller told me that this one had all the issues resolved and from what i could tell it was bug free.........until i hooked up my sub. Nothing. I can't get any signal on the test tones. I hooked up my sub to a front pre-out to make sure it wasn't the sub but i got a test tone on it there so it's definitely not my sub. I tried a different cable...still nothing. I did notice that the screw that holds the rca connectors in place on the back was out a couple turns on the sub preout and it was quite loose when plugging it in. I called my seller about this issue and he figured that i must have had some settings screwed up. He then told me that he never used the sub outs but they should work fine.
I am torn because he will take it back and give me my money back but i'm sure i wont be able to find another deal this good again. But on the other hand I'm worried what else might not be working properly that i don't notice just yet or might stop working in the near future.
Thanx for listening.
