Yamaha DSP-A1 Problem

Hi All,

I am a long term home cinema user (everything worked straight out of the box in 2001) and have just hit my first snag with my DSP-A1, I hope you can point me in the right direction!

Each time I power up the unit it shuts down after about 3 seconds. There have been no alterations to the setup in the past few months and all was fully operational 24 hours ago. I am connected via the speaker outputs to a Bose Acoustimass 15 speaker configuration. I have stereo sound inputs from a satellite set top box and a Media Centre PC connects via both stereo input jacks and an optical link.

After reading some of the posts on the site I am considering a re-wire when I return home this evening to eliminate the possibility of a short in the cabling, but thought I would post the issue just in case it can be identified as having another cause.

If it was a speaker wire short, Yamaha's typically tell you that the next time you turn it on with 'CHECK SPK WIRES' on the front. Usually when we have a quick shut off like that it's a problem with the power supply board.
