New Kit needed - question

Please be gentle as I am both new and not an audiophile
When I bought my house it had a HT fitted
Amppro digital video projector (front)
Soundstream M3 Monobloc
soundstream C2
stewart PA1008 amp (for sub woofer I think)

Q: 1 of the monoblocs has gone kaput and I would prefer to keep the replacement as simple and as cheap as possible so would like suggestions.

I had a dvd and vhs hooked up 3 forward speakers 2 rear and 1 side sub

Have you checked to see if it's just a dead fuse? Or maybe a shorted power cord? I'd try those two steps before anything else. Also, contact Soundstream and see if they have any authorized repair shops in your area.

If that doesn't fix the issue, and if you are only wanting to replace the one dead monoblock then there is a used Marantz MA-500 on audiogon for $175. Good amp for a good price.
