Comcast's new HDTV cable box!!!

Hello All,

Comcast has a new HDTV cable box verson 3 with a HDMI output. My sony HDTV only has a DVI input. The cable installer brought this new box with a HDMI to DVI cable. This didn't work properly. No picture after a hour or so of viewing. We had to switch back to component output to get a picture. So this morning I switched my box back to the verson 2 with a DVI output.

Whenever cable companies revise their h/w, it is usually followed with glitches (bugs). I would contact Comcast tech support and let them know of this issue. Handshake issues with HDMI/DVI connections are usually the culprit. Just my quick thoughts.
