If you had to choose between a Paradigm Servo-15 and a 37-42" LCD which one would you get first? The upgrade bug has hit and I've goto decided between replacing my 47" RPTV with a LCD or my PW-2100 with a Servo-15. Can't get both at the same time though it would be nice.
Sub or LCD: Which one first??

This is 100% personal preference...
I would go for the Servo 15 first since you already have a decent size display. Now, if you had a 27" std TV, I might say different. I've always valued the sound a bit more than the picture, though I'm beginning to balance back out.
Have you considered keeping the RPTV for regular TV viewing and adding a FPTV?Danish- Bottom

I'd have to agree with Danish. Go with the sub. It will be with you longer as well. The LCD displays will come down in price.
The other thing is you are moving down in display size 37"-42" from your 47". Unless your existing display is too big for your room or you have some off angle viewing situations, I'd stick with your 47" RPTV.Paul

I concur, I would purchase the Sub, because with LCD/TV monitors technological changes rapidly, therefore pricing fluctuates as well, usually to the consumers benefit.
Subs, are a different beast, technology and pricing remains fairly constant and will remain with your system for a more significant time period. Listen to the sub on a trial basis, if possible, to justify your feelings. Just my couple of pennies worth.
I would also ask myself the following question.
Which will provide the most significant entertainment value?
Peace and blessings,

Get the sub first, displays are always coming down in price, and ever changing like a babies diaper.- Bottom

Im in the same boat.
Im looking to replace my 36 CRT with a 32-37 LCD for now. (cant wait for SED, so im gonna get a CHEAP LCD from work and wall mount it)
But i could also use some other gear, gotta balance it out.
In my situation, id gladly welcome the extra room of a smaller TV wall mounted.
I dont know what your looking to spend on a TV, but id have to guess its over 2K... If you can wait a year or so for SED, id do that unless you can afford to call your LCD outdated technology soon.B&W

Get the sub first. A really good sub will add to your musical enjoyment as well as your HT fun. And the way flat-screen prices are dropping (and with SED coming - although not as fast as first thought) waiting a bit longer will only benefit you in the lower price for a better quality product..

Sub. The new-toy-excite factor will last a lot longer with the sub. I think if you get the tv, you'll lose the new-toy-excite factor before you actuall buy the sub. If you buy the sub first, I think you will have that new-toy-excite feeling for a lot longer and may carry you nicely until the purchase of the tv.B&W 804S/Velodyne SPL-1000R/Anthem MRX720- Bottom

Well, I went out and bought myself a 32" LCD, wanted the room over my 36" CRT on a bulky stand.
It wasnt much, BBY sells these for 1199 every day.
I did it for the space.

by PezJust purchased a new Samsung 56 inch DLP TV and loving it, got the itch to upgrade once I was able to get a PS3. by BleakShoreHi everyone,
I was all set on buying either the Sanyo Z1, Studio Experience Matinee 1HD (Z1 clone), or possibly the Panasonic PTL300. From what I hear, these are all excellent LCD projectors.
Then I came across the following articles on the life expectancy of LCD projectors.... -
by ht_addictJust curious if anyone has heard the PW2100 in action? Is the $200 difference between the 2100 and 2200 worth the move up?
