    Hello Porkie,

Just a quick question. Do you have a cable receiver box?

If so there should be an ouput for s-video on the rear of the cable box?

    Keep up posted,

    Azeke

Well then you will require some sort of tuner to identify specific channel frequencies. So no you can not just use an adaptor. You will require a set to box from your service provider or a display with a built in tuner.

Well you could do that, it should have a tuner but the best connection you'll likely get out of that is composite. You can probably get a composite to s-video connector from that but I would imagine your display has a composite input anyhow right?

convert cable in to digital/hdtv out?
                  by stantheman2
I'm purchasing a Panasonic plasma with a QAM tuner, so I can view Comcast HDTV without their cursed set-top box fee. The problem: the Panny doesn't have an RF (coax cable) input. The older receiver I have on that system won't pass an HDTV signal. A Google search turned up nothing. There MUST be...

                  Help with Audio Coax cables
                  by timetohunt
I am new to the audio hobby. Have about 12k worth of music but nothing of an audio system to speak of yet. So I am working on it. Here are a couple questions about the coax audio cables.

#1. I realize that these are required in order to pass HT or surround information from a CD/DVD...

                  by willng24
                  Hi All,

I live in a high rise building and it is common to see coax cable being split throughout the building. Just in my unit alone the coax is split 3 ways (two bedrooms and living room). Would using a powered coax splitter improve my picture quality? I guess my true question is,...

Well I guess it's true... a USB cable can make a difference.
                  by PewterTA
This is the third upgrade I've done. My original cable was just a cheap USB cable I got from who knows where and it worked sounded good and no complaints.

This all going to my Musical Fidelity V-Link 192.

Then I upgraded my usb cable to a Wireworld Ultraviolet cable and...
