Out subing the mains and center

I never thought that the 100hz range needed that much support. When designing a subwoofer to handle bass I thought that a 6.5" driver could do the 100zh signals with no problem.Wrong.
I'm figuring the new norm will be full range mains with full range centers.I bet you'll see centers with twin 10" drivers and 7" midwoofers.I don't believe this is so crazy of an idea.

When my subwoofer project was done I noticed even small amounts of distortion in the mains and center.Even at low level playback at 85-90db.

I thought that sub bass was the end all in HT.The mains and center are next.
Here is my LCR "Trio". Way to go guys !

I plan to eventually build the Mini Statements for my mains, Mini Statement center channel (Center) and have read that the center channel can also be used as surround (side) and surround (rear) speakers?? This will be for a 7.1 system.

    Center Channel Dreams.
    by intelonetwo
As many of you know, I completed my diy, 3-way speakers called the TailWinds. Because they turned out beautiful, I would like to complete a center channel to match. And just any center channel but a REAL full range center. At least as full range as my TailWind's which feature (2) Peerless CSX 6.5"ers,...

1 more question, center channel placement
    by PSUfan
Thanks for the advice so far everyone. I'm tight with space and putting in a a/v rack is not an option. I guess that leaves me with 2 choices: First would be to place all equipment to the right of the television on a single rack. It would have dvd, rotel 1068/1095, and directv box; Second would be...

So i am designing a system using the same componenets (i.e. speakers.)

I have a couple of questions.

Using Jeff Bagbys Passive Xover designer I...
